Great Expectations

i think at some point, all of us have great expectations. Of ourselves and the people around us. Great Expectations of our parents, seeking them for advice and looking at them thinking, THEY COULD NEVER DO WRONG. But yet, they are human. So they Err.

Then look at us, we expect ourselves to do well in studies, then care for parents, earn big money in the future etc etc. But sometimes our we fall short of our expectations. We sometimes err in the weirdest way. Not being there for a friend, Shouted at parents and probably fail in succeeding in what we do.

At one point, i think we have to stop and look at what our expectations are of ourselves and the people around us. Probably lower it or not have it at all.

I think a friend of mine said something along the lines of
Not having expectations makes you the happiest person alive
